A Message Behind Every Tee

March 10th, 2010

At Restored Clothing Co. we want to perpetuate the theme of restoration, regrowth and renewal in everything we do. From the non-profit organizations we support to our special events we try to make sure the message of restoration is apparent.

Every t-shirt made by Restored carries that message. Each design on every tee has a story and a message behind it. To inspire our fans, customers and readers we want to share those designs stories with you.

This tee, called “Perfect Love” represents the danger behind true love. Imagine seeing an animal like this face to face and instead of fear for one’s life, peace and comfort is replaced. Though the lion is not safe, it is good. There is no fear in “Perfect Love”.

This t-shirt, with a futuristic design is called “Not Just A Number”. This tee carries the message that we are not just numbers or statistics in this life. The humanoid represents us at the times when we feel chained down by this lie. However may we read the words of the scroll that bears a deeper truth.

This original zip-up called “Heli Aid” represents lives and people who may need saving. Next time you need aid, you may find your help from the sky. The question is…will you grab the rope?

March’s Featured Charity + Review Our Tees!

March 3rd, 2010

    March’s Featured Charity

Restored Clothing Co. continuously supports four non-profit organizations.  But now and then we like to focus on one organization and have all eyes on them. Haiti, a country that has seen so much tragedy deserves our undivided attention. 100% of the proceeds for the “For of the Love of Haiti” tees have already been helping Haiti and the United States Foundation for the Children of Haiti.

We’d like to thank you, our loyal fans and customers for supporting our efforts and donating to the USFCH. As we continue to support the children we urge you to do the same.

Go to restoredclothing.com and click on the “Community” tab to find USFCH as our featured charity and to get more information on this organization.

We Want To Hear What You Think…Review Our Tees!

At Restored, we want everything we do and produce to be a reflection of our mission and common theme: Restoration. ALL our designs have a story which portray the common theme of restoration, regrowth or renewal. Like this tee, called “Sonshine” has a story behind it.

The design story behind “Sonshine” is that the sunshine in the summer time is what makes long evenings and cherished memories so memorable. However we at times need others in our lives to be lights to guide us on our journey. May we be lights to others.

Although we love that each tee we make has a story, we make them for you! We want you to love these tees as much as we do. So let us know what you think by reviewing our tees and their stories on our Web site.

By going to restoredclothing.com and clicking on any men’s or women’s product you can rate and review the item. Whether you love it or hate it, let us know. Do you have any suggestions? Would you change the color or location of the graphic? Let us know! Remember, we make these tees for you and for the people they support when you  buy one.

Show Us Some Love…Stick a Restored Sticker

February 23rd, 2010

Restored Clothing Co. loves it’s customers and supporters. But what we really like to see is when people show us some love back! Nothing excites the Restored team more than when we see one of our tees pass us on the street, when someone comments or our blog or when we see people showing support by sticking a sticker.

Seeing a Restored sticker on the back of a binder, in a store window or on a bumper shows us that you support our brand and love what we do.

As a brand and team, Restored wants to empower and encourage restoration wherever it is needed. Through community outreach, events and giving 10 percent of every item sold to our non-profit organizations were continuing to restore the lives of others and hope to inspire those who support us the most: you.

So keep on showing us love and represent Restored for all to see.

*NOTE: In the next week we’ll be on the lookout for Restored stickers. Leave a comment telling us the top places to stick a Restored sticker. If you find a good spot let us know and/or upload a picture of it.

*The person with the best stuck sticker will win a Restored tee and of course, stickers!

How-to Restore Your Community

February 17th, 2010

With all that is going on in the world, everyone wants to know what they can do to make the difference. The problem with that is that the world is a huge place. It’s hard to imagine yourself helping millions of poverty-stricken children in Africa, saving endangered species in Thailand or stopping global warming. Those are huge issues however, saving the world needs to start somewhere. If you want to make a change, you need to start small.

The best way to begin making a change is in your own community.  At Restored we believe that giving back to the community are important on the path to developing positive individual character. As a company we do community service projects through our “Community Restored” program and give back to charities through clothing sales and events. Restored is focused in supporting individuals who give to the less fortunate.

In order to restore your community you have to love it. Find an issue, or an organization that you can be passionate about. Check out posted fliers for events and fundraisers. A great place to find organizations that give back in your community is a city directory or the chamber of commerce.

Restored encourages you to go out, get inspired by the people and places around you then go make a difference.

NOTE: The winner of the “Love Without Conditions” tee is Charity! The response about loving a friend when no one else would “unconditionally” was an original thought and story. Much different than what we expected to see during Valentines Day. Great post Charity. Keep reading and please keep responding!

Send your name, address, phone number and t-shirt size to jorie@restoredclothing.com. We’ll have your free tee in the mail in no time! Thanks again for the great post!

“Love Without Conditions”

February 9th, 2010

Valentines Day. This loved and loathed holiday is full of florist advertisements on your web browsers, heart stamped boxer sets, romantic comedies, pounds of chocolate, Hallmark cards and awkward first dates. But is this one day what love is all about?

Real love comes without conditions. Regardless of all the mushy messages thrown at you during the month of february, true love has no requirements. You cannot always be bound by love and a diamond earrings gift set doesn’t mean it’s forever.

Restored decided to take a spin on Valentines Day with this idea of unconditional love. This limited edition tee for spring, called “Love Without Conditions” shows the other side of love. The design features broken hearts being restored and birds being set free from a cage no longer bound by love. To love without conditions is as difficult as it is true.

To win this limited-edition tee post a comment about what “Love Without Conditions” truly means to you. The best and most heartfelt response will win the latest Restored Clothing tee! The winner will be announced in next week’s posting along with directions on how to receive your tee.

Kyle Williams is on Tour!

February 5th, 2010

At Restored, we love music. We also love sponsoring musicians who have a passion for it too. For the past few years Restored has been supporting and following Kyle Williams. Williams in an incredible musician and we found his smooth sound to be irresistable. A few weeks ago Williams left on his “16-17-18″ tour where he will be playing all up and down California. Williams will be playing in 16 cities, in 17 days, with 18 plays.

The tour began in Monterey, Ca and hits towns on the coast all the way down to San Diego, Ca. The “16-17-18″ tour consists of mostly small venues in lounges, coffee shops and restaurants. These small venues offer an intimate stage where listeners can relax and truly listen to Williams play. If you find yourself in one of these California locations in the next couple weeks definitely find a seat, grab a cup of coffee or some dinner and see for yourself why we love Kyle Williams.

How to: Style Your Restored Tee This Spring

January 28th, 2010

This spring, plenty of new trends have been sprouting up from runways to subways, from sidewalks to schools. At Restored we are always on the look-out for what people want, what they are wearing and what’s coming next. Restored tees have a unique way of working with any outfit and into any wardrobe. Whether you’re looking for comfort, stlye or clothing with a cause Restored can offer it all.

Restored did some research as to what people will be wearing this spring and we picked our three favorite trends: neutral tones, structured layering and soft pastels. Each outfit (of course) incorporates a Restored tee worn by our model Cherie.

"Grow In Peace"

This tee, called “Grow In Peace” works perfectly for the neutral tone look for spring. The tee  is loose fitting enough to pair with leggings or skinny jeans for comfort. We took the neutral color trend and gave it an earthy-boho twist with brown boots and a headband. Cherie is comfortable in her Restored tee and with a few accessories she’s ready for spring!

"All You Need"

This next look is a great way to wear a Restored tee with layers as winter moves into spring. Structured layering is one of our favorite looks for spring. It’s practical as the weather is changing and easy to do. For this look we chose the “All You Need” Restored longsleeve tee and paired it with a boyfriend button up and jeans. To add a structured layer we put Cherie in a navy blazer to keep the loose look polished. With a few additions, Cherie still looks put together in her Restored tee.

"Jagged Mariposa"

This last look incorporates the warming weather with the colors of spring. We chose the “Jagged Mariposa” tee that features a design with soft details and light colors. To show the last trend for spring, soft pastels, we had Cherie put on a rose colored sweater for warmth and jeans for comfort. To throw in another spring trend, Cherie is wearing neutral colored heels to tie the look together.

It’s that easy to style Restored Clothing this spring! With a few accessories and layers you and your Restored tee can be ready for spring. Not only will you be on top of the trends but you’ll be wearing a unique tee with a purpose.

Help Restored Help Haiti

January 18th, 2010

In response to the recent earthquake disaster in Haiti Restored decided that 10 percent just wasn’t enough. Typically, Restored Clothing donates 10 percent of every item sold to 1 of it’s 4 non-profit organizations; the United States Foundation for the Children of Haiti being one of them. The USFCH provides medical help, financial support and assistance to the needy children of Haiti through its alliance with Fondation Pour les Enfants d’Haiti (FEH).

Once disaster struck and the lives of Haitian children became the focus for Restored we decided to design the “For the Love of Haiti” tee. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the USFCH to help these poverty stricken children in this time of natural disaster. Each tee will be sold for $17 and can be purchased from restoredclothing.com. Please help Restored help Haiti by purchasing this limited edition tee.

For more information on the USFCH, earthquake news or to make a direct donation visit www.usfch.org
