Restored Got It Right!

June 17th, 2010

Restored Clothing teamed up  with Able Abe in Downtown Chico for the “Get Right” summer release party at 1078 Gallery  this past Sat. June, 12. The show was a success with models walking the runway featuring the newest lines from local Chico’s hottest designers. Restored Clothing kicked it off with their new line of Restored T-Shirts. Next, Shavon’s line of bathing suits of all colors, shapes and styles hit the runway. Able Abe closed out the night with clothing you just didn’t want to miss.

Before the show a variety of entertainment kept the party atmosphere alive. Dj Oh-Snap was there spinning through out the entire show. He kept the energy positive and the crowd was impressed. Two local performers from local hip-hop label The Moonshine Corporative took the stage and provided entertainment for the crowd before the fashion show. Eye-Que stepped up first and gave an excellent performance. His lyrics and melody mesmerized the crowd, members of the audience immediately got involved and were singing along to the lyrics of his songs. Ty-Box finished it off keeping the crowd pumped and excited for the show to begin.

Delicious sushi appetizers were available as well as a bar serving beer, wine and a variety of other beverages. The ambience proved beautiful black and white scenery decorated the gallery. Attendees dressed to impress sticking to the themed dress code of the night, black and white with a splash of color!

Love One Another…

May 20th, 2010

This tee from the “Individually Fashioned” Collection is one of our favorites. The message simply states that this world we live in becomes a better place when we choose to love one another. Too often the love we share with one another can be limited. The eye that stares right into the heart is reminding us to recognize love when we see it.

Not only can love for one another be represented through this T-shirt, it can also be shown through giving to those who need restoration the most.

This month’s charity is Youth For Change, which  provides individuals, children, and families with access to free and low-cost counseling and parent support services. Youth For Change’s mission is to ensure that children and families live happy, healthy and safe lives by providing services that promote dignity, self-determination and well-being.

This month, 10 percent of every item sold will go to restoring the lives of children and families through Youth for Change.

While we are discussing supporting and giving to one another, Restored would like to give to you! To thank you for all the support you’ve given us we’d like to offer a discount to all the graduates of 2010!

Enter “grad10″ at checkout to receive 20 percent off a purchase at Restored Clothing.com

Congratulations to the Graduates of 2010!

What Would You Put On a T-Shirt?

May 13th, 2010

At Restored Clothing Co. every t-shirt has a message behind it. When we get inspired by someones story we respond with a new tee. With every story of restoration, re-growth or renewal comes a new design from restored. This tee, “Love Heals All Wounds” was created in response to a deep issue that many struggle with and keep hidden.

This message goes out to the hearts of those individuals who struggle with the act of cutting and the pain they seek to release by this destructive form. This message is inspired by a love that is never destructive.

If you wanted to put a message of restoration on a tee what would it say?

So many of Restored’s designs come from personal experiences from people in our lives and stories we have been told.

What’s your story? How do you seek restoration? Tell us your story and inspire us. We may make it into a new tee.

Introducing the “Individually Fashioned” Collection

May 5th, 2010

Each and every one of us are complete individuals. We let love, our emotions, opinions and our voices piece together who we are. This new line from Restored features and represents all the things that make you and your style “Individually Fashioned.”

This spring collection includes 8 new pieces all with a unique design story following the theme of Restored.

This first piece, “Individually Fashioned”(left)  features a statement that simply implies that we are uniquely fashioned individuals who can not be duplicated. Restored believes that all individuals are fashioned with importance and that importance can only be discovered by pursuing your passion.

”Love One Another” (right) is the second new tee for women conveys  the message this world we live in becomes a better place when we choose to love one another. To0 often the love we share with one another is limited by conditions or nonexistent which ultimately hurts us all.

“Lust Fades, Intimacy Lasts” (left) is a message that suggests that true love can not be sustained or built on physical attributes alone. We believe that true love is revealed by a commitment to grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually with others.

“Fashion Your Voice” is the first tee in the collection for men. Allow whatever is inside you to be an opportunity to fashion your voice. If it is a cause, right, or conviction, step up to the microphone and let your voice be heard.

“Let Your Passion Be Your Perseverance” conveys a message of hope by encouraging you to follow your dreams. Let passion be your perseverance rather than allowing your circumstances to define your success.

“Love Heals All Wounds” is message that goes out to the hearts of those individuals who struggle with the act of cutting and the pain they seek to release by this destructive form. This message is inspired by a love that is never destructive.

Meet the Team

March 30th, 2010

By now, most of Restored’s fans, readers and customers must know a lot about the company. We’ve introduced the musicians we sponsor, shown you the messages behind our tees, kept you updated with upcoming events and informed you about the theme behind this company.

However, there is one thing we have yet to share with our fans and readers. Who are the people behind Restored Clothing Company? The Restored team is a close-working group made up of interns, photographers, stylists and numerous volunteers. Our team is more like a family. From screen printing, to social networking, to marketing and event planning we all have a role that makes Restored possible. Here are a few members of the Restored family…

Mica Moreno – Owner

After graduating from California State University, Chico in 2003,  Mica built strong relationships during community interactions, charity work and leadership building. After realizing he could tie all of his passions together with his artistic side, Moreno launched Restored Clothing Company in January of 2008. After years of inspiration, he became the owner, entrepreneur, designer, philanthropist, producer and sole proprietor of a clothing company with a purpose.

Darren – Community Coordinator

Darren graduated from Chico State in 2002 with a degree in business marketing. Darren has been with Restored for a little under a year and has put together numerous marketing campaigns. He continues to the develop Restored’s brand team, community outreach projects and business contacts. Outreach and the underlying theme of restoration is what drew Darren to become a part of Restored last fall. Darren hopes to grow with Restored and spread the theme of the brand.

Jorie – Intern

Jorie is a senior at Chico State, majoring in Journalism with an option in public relations and a minor in women’s studies. She has been with Restored since May of 2009 working as a public relations intern.  In addition to being a contributing writer for Restored, she also coordinates fashion shows and special events. Jorie is looking for a future career in fashion pr. Her passion for philanthropic work and fashion lead her to join Restored.

Danielle – Intern

Danielle will be graduating from Chico State this spring with a degree in Journalism with an option in public relations and a minor in psychology. Danielle has been working as a public relations intern since August of 2009 and works closely with Restored’s in house photographer. Through her writing, publication pitching and online research Danielle hopes to get Restored’s name out to as many people as possible. In addition to online relations Danielle is always on the lookout for potential artists, musicians and athletes for Restored to sponsor. Danielle’s love for people, interest in photo journalism and helping others aided her in finding her position at Restored.

Amy – Intern

Amy, a junior at Chico State, is the newest member of the Restored team. Amy will be graduating with a degree in journalism and a minor in religious studies in spring of 2011. Amy maintains the social networking for Restored through Twitter and creates weekly contests for friends and fans. She also works closely with Darren on Restored’s Brand Team, helping it grow and finding new ways to let people know about Restored. Amy’s past volunteer work and outreach lead to her hiring at Restored this winter.
